Sheeeeeeee's Baaaaaaaaaaack!

M returned today. I gotta admit, I missed her a wee bit. But enough of that mushy shit already. This post is really just to announce how proud I am of myself. With the return of the car, I was able to somewhat accurately gauge how far I rode on Saturday. I thought it might have been 8 miles, because I knew it was about 2 miles further than my regular route, which I thought was about 6 miles. Well, I was off slightly. For starters, my regular route is actually 10 miles, not 6. And, I rode another 3 miles extra on Saturday. So, I've already passed my stated goal of 10 miles. How exciting! Go Team Doug! Now I just have to keep it up with some regularity.

This weekend is the Pitchfork Festival. It's supposed to rain and be hot, always a wonderful pairing. On top of that, we had to get a hotel near O'Hare (mostly due to my stupidity), which is about 17 miles from the festival site. So, we'll be getting drunk at the airport bar that night. All that aside, I also found out that the festival will have two stages, so hopefully each band will be able to stretch their legs a bit more than I originally thought. It looks like they'll be staggering start times, too, so I can hop from band to band if I choose.

That's it for now. Talk atcha soon...
